I reported to Uniters North America for faulty seams in two identical recliners that I bought from J. C. Penney's in 2010.  The seams in question are in the back of the chair and not the seating area or anywhere near the part of the chair that comes in contact with your body while you aqre seated.  The chairs a not located against a wall and do not come in contact with anyother surface.

I called Uniters described the problem and was told that the failing seams would be covered. The serviceman came out looked at the chairs and said the whole back piece would need to be replaced, leading us to believe it would be taken care of. I recieved an email approximately 2 days later saying the claim was denied because the technician reported missing leather on the chairs.  There is no missing leather the seams have come undone and are opened to expose the chair stuffing. Uniters based the claim denial on that report and said my warranty does not cover missing leather.

Reputable companys(((REDACTED))) etc. blindly recomend this company to their customers.  you would think large companies such as these would do some background before subjecting their loyal and so called valued customers.

Thank you
