Complaint Review: Universal Business Strategies

My husband and I odered the Money Making Catalog Website from Don Lapre which was sold to us by Frank Montoya at Universal Business Strategies for $630.00 on 2/8/02. At that time Mr. Montoya told us not to worry that this was 100 percent risk free guarantee. He said that if we did not sell anything within a year we would get the full $630.00 back. Well a year passed after lots of hard work and addional money that we paid to have our website hit by at least 7000 people. We called and we were told that nothing had been sold on our website. Could't believe it all those hits and not one sell!!

Well awe called Universal Business Strategies on 2/5/03 to find out about our refund that was guaranteed I was told by Greg that Client Realtions would call me back within 5 working days. No response. Tried to call again several times no response. On 2/21/03 spoke with Pepper Jones who confirmed our refund of $630.00. She said it should be credited back to our credit card in 30 to 60 days. Still no refund after the sixty days. Called again this time spoke with Sandy on 4/7/03 who told me that the %630.00 would be credited back to our credit card at the end of April 2003 if not sooner.

Well it didn't happen. We then spent hours trying to contact any of one of individuals we spoke with no one answered. The message we kept getting was that the mailbbox was full. We tried numerous times and still we could not get ahold of anyone from Universal Business Strategies. It was like they had all left and just shut down the company. You can understand our frustations. We believe we should receive the $630.00 that we told would be credited back to us. Their company is the one who sold it as a 100% risk free guarantee. It was their employees that told us that and also said that we would be credited the $630.00 no later that the end of April 2003. This company is showing no integrity and should have to be liable for what they say and do!!!!!
