Complaint Review: Universal Credit

Universal Credit application says already approved for 5K PLATINUM for purchases from CREDIT PROVIDER, wants $55.00 (for what?)/no phone contact # consumer fraud ripoff Blaine Washington

Have received numerous phone calls (number doesn't show on Caller ID) from source telling me that I have bad credit (I don't) and wanting to give me a CC with a high limit (all times I have said no). They hang up as soon as I start asking questions about their company.

Today (3-22-02) received a form to send back for a platinum card (not MC or VA) with a credit line to 5K/purchases through credit provider (what's that?)/no phone # and just a PO box as an address.

Beware...smells like a scam!
