Almost a year ago I signed up with Universal Gas and Electric. The salesman did not only exaggerate that I would be saving a lot of money signing with them, I was fully taken advantage of. I had just that week moved into my new home after living in an apartment.
I was used to an apartment and had know idea what I was doing or had any experience with maintenance or consumers of any sort with a home of my own.

When the Universal Gas and Electric Salesman had detected my confusion and ignorance toward my new living situation, he had informed me I was signing the paper to start up my consumers in my new park to get the process of my gas and electric going. Although I had read the paper before I signed it I was still confused and thought I was doing the right thing.
I then started to notice what I did wrong when my bills started to come in.

It was then I had called them complaining I was mislead and did not want to be a customer of their business. They as well as everyone else informed me i signed, and to bad for me.

My boyfriend that was raged over the situation I had been taken advantage of had also spoke numerous amount of times with them, also getting know where. I have wrote a few reports online, constantly checking other reports, have wrote them by letter and even spoke many times on the phone with the SCAMMING company. I have spoke to Ron and a few other supervisors where I was fed more lies and one time when I even called they would not let me speak to a supervisor.

They had rudely chewed me out saying I was told I need to send in the money to cancel and I need not to speak to a supervisor to just follow the rules. After arguing for literally an hour, I finally gave up and just hung up. I am a young single mother with extremely low-income living in Michigan where our entire economy is facing a cruel time as it is. I have already had my bill shut off because I cannot afford the amount they scammed there customers and I cannot afford the cancellation fee they ask.

My daughter and I have it rough as it is and I am absolutely furious with this company and how they are still getting away with scamming other people trying to survive as it is. I cannot have my consumers shut off for the sake of my daughter and I cannot believe I was taken advantage of with this obnoxious company and I'm the one that has to pay the penalty and fee's..
