I received a call from Mr Tony Shultz saying that he had been trying to contact me about selling my timeshare and that he had a buyer from Canada willing to pay $17000 with a $2500 deposit from which they would pay my delinquent fees but I needed to give them via credit card$1397 for title and search fees. When asked why so high, I was told that my particular resort charges very high fees. He suposedly contacted my resort company to make sure that they would be OK with a sale when fees are in arrears. I still have to check on that. I was also told that all the paperwork etc takes approximately 50-75 days but was guaranteed. Thanks to your diligent reports, I will not be proceeding with this transaction (although I really needed to proceeds if they had been legit and to get rid of this timeshare). I would like to know how to proceed from here. I knew to be suspicious because this is not the first time I have experienced this. They are very good salesman and are very good actors that in various companies have taken many dollars from me with no results. our economy is at a low and people (least of all me) can afford to be scammed and survive for very long. Something should be done to protect those who and and need it. I was very disappointed to find that even though I thought it had been sold...it has not and my money nearly stolen again.
