Complaint Review: Universal Media Consultants

Universal Media Consultants & Web Knowledge These two companies told me about all the money I could make as an Amazon Affiliate and have charged me thousands, but after 2 months, I'm not making ANYTHING and today I can't even log into my Amazon account. They keep making promises to drive business to my page and even overhaul my webpage to attract more people, but after 2 plus weeks it's still the same. Pompano Beach Florida

I got a call from Web Knowledge, offering to help me get set up with an Amazon Affiliate account, with my own web page and everything. They were so smooth and convincing. They made all kinds of promises, saying I could easily start out making $1000/mo with no effort at all on my part. The smooth salesman even told me he would do everything he could to help me succeed, because if I made money, he made money. He gave me the impression that he was my upline in a pyramid. Lastly, he said if I wanted out within 6 months, they would give me my $299 back, no questions.

Enter Universal Media Consultants. Within hours, Sean Carter with UMC called me. He said he was my coach and mentor in my new business and he would be there to answer any questions and help me make money. He also promised me a 125% guaranteed income within 6 months. I told him I didn't have the $5,250 to buy into his marketing program and he said I could put it on a credit card and be able to pay it back very soon, and probably not even have to pay any interest.

So, Web Knowledge launched an ugly, canned web page that my mother wouldn't even buy from and Universal Media Consultants started driving traffic to it. 2 full months later, I had 3 clicks and NO sales. I even gave my web address to a couple relatives that bought product from Amazon through my ugly site. Those sales didn't even show up in my Amazon back office. Today, I can't even log in. Amazon says I don't have an Amazon Associate account, but I can create one if I want.

Web Knowledge told me 2 weeks ago that they would make my site look better and hopefully get more attention. They said they needed 5 days and I should suspend my marketing campaign with Universal for a few days. Two full weeks later nothing had been done! After a phone call to them, they said it was up and running now and everything should be good to go. But the site still looks the same and I still can't get into Amazon.

I have repeatedly asked for my money back from both companies. Web Knowledge doesn't even reply, and Universal says I can't get my money back.

Both of these companies are unprofessional and don't fullfill their promises.

This is the second time that someone has brought a complaint to my attention. Please do not mistake this company with the legitimate Universal Media Consultants LLC, located in Birmingham, AL. As the founder of that company, I have spent years of satisfying customers without a single complaint.

We do not offer “web” services, such as the one listed in this complaint. In addition, our website does not contain the letters llc in the URL. Once again, this complaint has nothing to do with the company named Universal Media Consultants that is located in Organized in Alabama, doing business in Beverly Hills and run by Philip Cardwell.

If you look at the website listed in this complaint, you can see that it is not connected to my company website: Universal Media Consultants

It has gotten to the point where consumers unhappy with the company they are complaining about, are searching state business registries and confusing my company with the complaint company in question. To that extent, I am will to help anyone ripped off by the OTHER UMC help go after them. Please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to point you in the right direction. You can find my contact information at the legimate UMC website, that does NOT have llc in the title.

Furthermore, I am going to issue a nationwide press release recounting your complaints and making clear that there are two very different and distinct Universal Media Consultants.

To the owners and operators of the UMC that is drawing complaints, I urge you to change your business practices "by choice" before you are fined and legally required to do so.

Thank You.
