I received a faxed advertisement at work for a travel deal to Hawaii for a buy three get one free 7 day/ 6 night condo with round trip airfare, condo included for $299.98 per person x 3.

i called and spoke with Greg who went over the package deal with me and confirmed all information. He mentioned that in addition to the $900.00 for three travelers with the fourth to travel free, there would be a $69.00 per person booking fee due at the time of booking and $38.00 per night taxes for the condo.  I went through several details with him and agreed to purchase at this price.

I was was to have one year (up to 15 months) to use this trip.  I received forms from The Travel Center asking me to pay the $69 per person booking fee, which I did.  The initial $900.00 was drafted from my bank account and the $276.00 was paid by personal check.

When I notified The Travel Center in March that I was ready to begin the booking process and asked for my travel vouchers, I received a very curt/short email with an attachment of more forms that I was to complete and when I read through those forms, they stated "when your fees have cleared"...

i asked them them what fees they were referring to and was told "the booking fees".  I mentioned that I had already paid those and they told me that they were "activation" fees, not the booking fees as I had been told previously.

At that point, I began to question their integrity and validity, so I called the next day and spoke with Adriana to go through all of it again.

i decided that they are not a legitimate operation and my son found these rip off reports in addition to several other complaints filed against these companies.

i sent two written reqjests to each company for cancelation and a refund.  After some chasing, The Travel Center has agreed to refund me $176.00 which is the $276.00 less a $100 cancelation fee.

As of this filing, I have not received the refund.

i have not received any correspondence at all from Universal Travel Network for the $900.00 less a cancelation fee.

i am extremely disappointed and discouraged with their dishonesty and scam.

If anyone else is interested in filing a class action lawsuit, I would like to see them pay people back and pay for their scam. I would not mind at all to see them put out of business so that they cannot damage anyone else.

i would appreciate any feedback or suggestions on this.

It looks like my last comment was posted under the company as the owner which was incorrect. Again i am trying to get as many people together as possible, to get our  money back from this company please send me an email to my gmail account. I am currently speaking with a lawyer here in Atlanta, GA.  My gmail address is daycampllc  @  gmail . com which is my company emai address. I have one other young lady so far who has the same story as we do.

I am still pursuing an attorney that is willing to help with this. I am going to make some other attempts at contacting the State for assistance.  If I am able to find help, I will post the information.  If you would like to add my name to a list of contacts to file a class action suit, I am still interested.

i do not plan to let them get away with this.

I too am seeking legal help and will post a note when I have found an attorney who is able to help.  If you find one, will you please let me know?

i would think that most persons who have lost money with this company would be interested in recouping at least a part of their loss.

thank you for your reply.

I am interested in filing a class action lawsuit. I have tried over and over again, to contact a site "manager" regarding   my refund, and i have gotten nowhere. I was recently told that the General Manager is Ed Mazre, but still no luck. It amazes me that so many people have the same scam story and they are still operating. I am interested in filing a class action lawsuit. Anyone please feel free to reach out to me. I am collecting as much information as i can, as well as seeking legal help.

I did receive a refund of $176.00 ($276.00 paid less a $100 cancelation fee after a struggle with The Travel Center, however, Universal Travel Network refuses to respond to any of my requests to cancel and refund the $900.00.  I would like to know if anyone else is interested in filing a class action lawsuit to recover lost fees.

If not, I will be filing an individual claim. They need to be stopped before anyone else is hurt.

thank you!

I recieved a fax as well,to my place of business, For a Hawaii trip $299.98 7 days 6 nights, plus 69.00 x 2 activation fees, for two people and room taxes at the condo. I recieved a packet in the mail, and the information is for a vacation travel program. They are using decietful business practices to sell vacation travel programs, And they are not honoring the dates that i requested or granted a refund.

I refuse to give them anymore money. I called the travel center and got no assistance. I called back to UNT and was hung up on after i demanded to speak to a manager. This is scam. They are preying on innocent people by selling "fake vacations" that they state are corporate deals that they have to get rid of.

I am speaking with a lawyer regarding a civil consumer protection lawsuit against them. If anyone recieves the same fax, please throw it away. It is 100% a scam.
