I had spent 3 weeks looking for a new car and decided to look at University Mazda/Volkswagon in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I had been warned by other unhappy customers that the sales people are rude. After I spent about 30 minutes looking at Mazdas, in 90 degree heat, sales people were nowhere to be found. I went inside the showroom and yelled "hello, are there any sales people here." A guy came out of the back room and asked what I wanted. I told him that I was interested in test driving some cars. He said when I had narrowed it down to a few cars, to find him. I selected two cars to test drive and during the drive the sales person didn't say a word and knew little about the features on the cars.

I really liked a car I test drove, so we went inside to negotiate a deal. The sales manager made his way over (the regular routine) and I presented him with my offer. He sat down, looked at me in the eye and said, "You're retarded if you think I'm going to accept your officer. I hit the roof!!!

I asked for his manager, and of course, he said he was the manager. I asked for the general manager but was told he was in a meeting. I found the GM's office and barged in and told him what his sales person had just said to me. He laughed and said I'm sure he wasn't trying to offend you. They continued to laugh as I walked out of the door. No apologizes made. Bottom line don't buy a car there or you'll be very sorry.
