Complaint Review: University of Massachusetts Boston

They filed her Financial Aid packet late even though she had all of her paperwork filed on time to the day.  They raised the tution without notice and when asked if we could have an itemized bill, They reply.... "That creates too much work for our office."  In most cases the office is dealing with young kids who don't know any better.  Parents are not allowed access to their children's accounts.  Red Flag as far as I am concerned. 

The instructor for one of her classes required a textbook ($190.00) and guess who the text book is written by, the instructor.  There are older additions that pretty much the same, but this instructor wants the newest addition.  Who is policing State Universities?  Who can I talk to? 

My daughter wants to transfer to a private college and feels she is being ripped off.  This not the experience I had hoped for my daughter.  I help her out financially where I can but it seems like the kids that need finanacial aid are having huge difficulties at UMass Boston and nobody cares.  They are being taken advantage of at every turn.  I am feeling very frustrated with the lack of assistance.
