University of Phoenix Axia College Financial Aid Office Internet, Arizona
Next month, December 2011, I will be a Senior at this so called University. Today, I get a telephone call from my Financial Aid Advisor who informs me that I am $7,000 short as of next year and I have to come up with this money to continue my education? I have the Pell Grant, Sub/Unsub. Loans in which I pay those back six months after I graduate. This entire time I have kept in touch with the several different financial aid advisors I have had and they informed me my college tuition was fine and all of my courses will be covered until I complete my Bachelors program. This person in financial aid waits until two months before my senior year to tell me I have used all of it up and they cannot do anything? I had attended two colleges previously and the little courses I had taken, I do not believe I used anything except the Pell Grant, and if I did, that was back in 2007-2008, so why wouldn't the government come after me to pay these back? Something is really strange and I have been complaining about this financial advisor for a while now but they office of dispute managment never returns my emails. I have a hard time accepting the fact that they had no idea I wouldn't have enough funds and then they make me aware of this now? They are horrible and if a class action suit is filed against them; believe me, you can count me in!
