I paid about 9400 dollars for courses the equivelant of my high school courses. The required health course was a similar course to the one I took in 10th grade. (I was enrolled for business and finance) We spent NINE WEEKS learning how to write an essay. I am pretty sure we learned how to do that in sixth grade and it only took us four weeks.

I am not a rocket scientist and I do not know everything but this school did not teach me 9400 dollars worth of information. The only time I learned anything real was when I went online (because I was bored with the courses) and did my own research. I did not need the school to teach me most of what I learned.

Unless you have been out of high school for a LONG time, avoid this institution. They are a for profit school and have no interest in what you are wanting out of them. As long as they get their money they dont care about you. My academic advisor has a lower IQ than your common flower. I am pretty sure she lived in a closet.

Maybe you remember the debate about for profit schools' student loans being the biggest majority of unpaid loans. University of Phoenix was their main target and she had no idea. If it involves your company and made national headlines, you should probably be aware of it. This school is a joke. And the piece of paper you receive isn't worth the dirt it took to grow the tree that made it. Go to a local community college. My sister in law is getting her RN education for a whopping 6k. That's less than one year at this worthless school.

ROFLMAO !!  I must say, that was a well written, and very informative report !!  I continue to be amazed that people continue to enroll at this "Kollege".  There are more complaints about the UoP than all other colleges IN THE WORLD put together.  And, of course, they come back with their usual "canned" internet response in order to show that they genuinely care......suuuuuurrrrre they do.

That was excellent advice on the community college, too.  I completed the first two years of my undergraduate degree at a community college, as well.  Why ?   Because the tuition was 1/10th that of the state university ( which I later attended, by the way ).  Though being accepted at my state university, and even after subtracting the scholarships and grants, it was STILL less money to go to a CC.

Anyway.....you are correct.....Stay away from UoP......Stay FAR away.
