University Of Phoenix online The company changed my grades then tried to charge me 1200 dollars to retake the class. online Internet
I attend the University Of Phoenix. When I started they told me that I would have 2 weeks between classes, they lied. They also told me that I was doing great, then in my last class they went into my grades and changed them. I had a C the next day they called me and told me I had a F.
I contacted them and they said I failed the class. They also said that I had to retake the class and pay $1200. I am disabled and they knew that to begain with. I do not have that type of money to retake this class because of their mess ups. Can someone please help me figure out what to do now? Thank you.

I do not have a problem with this school.I got a degree from them and loved doing it. It not hard to do because all you have to do is be constitant, ontime with the work, and self persaverance and hard work and you will graduate. But it is a research for that right degree that counts. Not all schools shine but which non- online school does either. If you can research before sliding in you wont go wrong.

I do not think they change your grade unless the instructor failed to correct something. It in there hands so honestly if you got a C and they gave you an F grade its because the Instructor failed you not the school. There fore you have to pay out of pocket expense.

It is always difficult to find a way out once you are already spent the money to them. I would like you to ask yourself first...
1)Why do you want to get a degree?
2)Why and how do you think that the UoP is qualified to give you the education?
3)Who do you think would hire you once you get the degree?
4)How much money do you think you would owe for the student loan once you graduate?
If your answer to #1 is 'because you could get a better job or career', then you are in the wrong place because you will very very likely stay where you are or even worse. Education is not for getting a better job but it could help getting a job. It all depends on the kind of you job/career you are going into.
If your answer to #2 is 'I saw their advertising & talked to their people, and I believe in whatever I saw/heard', then you are in trouble. You should do more research on this type of online colleges (all of them). They are very similiar in business model. You will always have problems/issues with money if you cannot afford it in the first place but rely on fiancial aid. Their education qualification is disclosed by many many people on the Internet. If you could endure and are lucky, you may graduate and become one of the online testimonial...
If your answer to #3 is 'Anyone', I wish you a good luck. You are in very deep trouble and I am not going to say anything but let you see the truth the hard way.
If your answer to #4 is 'affordable', you will see that even you are lucky enough to get a job, you will be paying the student loan for many many years (5+ if you are lucky).
What to do next? My suggestion, which may be harsh but may give you some idea, is either keep going until you graduate and see what happen, or drop it now and move on. To keep going, you will have to find a way to get more money from somewhere; however, I guarantee you that you will encounter some more financial issue with them in the future.
You cannot and should not use your disability as a part of your complaint to get a better grade because you should have already succumbed/prepared for it before you attend the class (no physical issue involved because you do not attend the class in a real class room). The only thing for this solution is that you need to keep feeding them money until you graduate.
If you choose to drop it, you would need to reassess what you can do and what you are looking for in the future. You may need to focus on what you like and capable of, so that you could improve it. Training sessions may be required and they should all be from non-profit or public/local institutes because the cost would be minimal. Start looking for jobs locally if you may. There are some employers who over look the disability but will look at your personality, enthusiastic, and motivation. Any employers that reject/not accept your disability would not be a good place for you anyway.
Many people do not drop from school when they have troubles because they feel that they have already spent too much time/money onto it even though they have started for only 1 or 2 semesters; however, this is a dangerous thought. It would be too late once you have already spent all the money and found out that all the time/money you spent into it would mean nothing. Anyway, it is your choice and I cannot make the decision for you.
