FYI, for anyone considering this school-run!  This is the worst school that you can possibly pick.  In 2010, I decided to go back to school, called them-big mistake!  The counselor rushed me in and had me in a class before they even had my transcripts.  I was three classes short of finishing my associates degree at the time and they started me in at a Bachelors level.  This is not the worst part, I told them that I wanted to go for English and they enrolled me as a Communications major because they did not have an online English program and told me it was the same thing.  I questioned them on this and called them several times, trying to drop the class, but after I was in, I could not get a counselor to call me back.  Finally after calling using *67 the counselor picked up and said it was to late to get out of the class and worse yet, my financial aid still hadn't gone through.
This is not where it ends, in taking the class I even contacted the teacher to tell her of my worries, she assured me that it would be ok and to continue with the class and then gave me an F from my lack of participation during the first 2 weeks of class.  I was so upset, I immediatly called her and she changed the grade to a D-.  I found out later for a collection agency that the school would not have been able to cash the loan check if I received an F.  I was livid.  I wanted them to fix this and at one point a representative said I would not have to pay for the class if I took the English class at my local campus, I said fine, then they cancelled the English program there!  Next thing that you know I had collection agencies calling me every day-three times a day for the $1590.00 for the one stinking class.

I went through the calls from the agencies for the last two years, before finally deciding to pay them off when a collection agency offered to only have me pay $318.00 which I still didn't want to pay but they are making my life miserable and it's bringing my credit score down.  If anyone wants to include me in a class action lawsuit, I will gladly do it!  This school must be stopped.  There are a lot of better schools out there.  Since this happened I have received my associates elsewhere, my bachelors and am now working towards my Masters, all with other online programs that are also accredited.  Better yet, the teachers actually care, despite the fact that they teach at other physical universities and the classes are also short.

(try National University, American Public University System, amongst others instead of this place.)

This guy has paid the money which he probably did not owe,  I have seen nothing but bad reports on this school.  Well guess what I am a current student, and I had a little talk with one of your academic advisors,  when he first contacted me to join the school, he came across to me like a punk.  Even though he appeared nice on the phone, I could tell in his voice he has probably had a few confrontations with other students.  To make the long story short,  I am enrolled currently in Associates of Arts/Information Technology.   All of the assignments consist of writing, and when I called the advisor out on this subject he began to elevate his voice, and well I elevated my voice,  I told him when I go for a job interview, the interviewer is going to have one main question, Do I have C++ or A++ certification, and when I tell him no out the door I go.  I asked the academic advisor will I ever take exams for my classes, this man says,"We feel that testing with multiple choice, or short answer testing will not get the student anywhere."  Wow I was beyond shocked, because when high school students get ready for college they take ACT/SAT to see what level they will start at college.  These classes mean nothing at this point, I am going to get out while I am ahead, and I am sure they will say I owe money.  If they do this they will be explaining to CNN, or MSNBC on why this school has very bad ratings.  Every consumer website I have been on are nothing but bad reports,  I have never seen so many reports in my life, and 95% of the reports are bad news.  The positive reports are isolated at best, and it is probably students that are now teaching in that horrific organization.  This needs to be stopped.  These for profit online schools prey on poor people, and it hurts an already crippled government.  It is institutions like this, is why the government is hurting.  I want to hear the response of UOP with their lackluster solutions on solving copious amounts of problems  they do not seem to care about.
