University of Phoenix UOP/AXIA 7 months to get my first and only financial aid check than dropped from UOP Internet, Internet

Trying to turn my life around and unable to drive to a campus due to no drivers license, my only other option was to go online.

I enrolled into UOP August 2nd and started classes on August 12th 2011. My fiancee started one week after I did. He recieved his firsts financial aid in December of 2011. I was getting the run around and could never get any answers. January no financial aid.

One day my advisor Christine Calahan called and said "good news we have recieved your loan check". I waited for a few weeks than I called back. By then I had a new advisor Jo Garcia and she said that there was no record of this phone call. I thought to myself okay maybe I misunderstood I am new at the online classes let alone campus classes. Then they would have me fax them all this paperwork they would email me I would send it back it would be wrong. This went on for a while and I got sick of the run around. They told me I was being audited and thats why the financial aid was not here. I'm trying to get an education not audited. The light should have went on then, but I continued with my classes. February, still no check, by this time I was in my 3rd semester and still no financial aid. I started to get worried that I was not going to get it and have to Pay for the three semesters I had taken and no longer able to continue my education. I had called a friend and this same thing happened to her and she was warning me, but I was already in. She advised me on what to do. I called my academic advisor and told her that I was tired of playing games and if this was not resolved that they would be hearing from my Lawyer and I did not want to take it that far. Less than a week later she called me back and told me my check was in the mail. I recieved my only financial aid check after being in school for 7 months. One month later after recieving my double award check I was dropped from UOP.

She told me that if I did workshops and turtorials for the next six month than, maybe they will let me come back and most likely pay out of pocket fees for my classes. Therefore I am screwed as far as being able to attend another college with aid, because I was lied to and manipulated through the whole UOP experience.

DO NOT GO TO THE UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND LEAVE YOU STANDING THERE LOOKING LIKE A F***** MORON.

I have to agree with the post on the grounds of do not attend the university of Phoenix. I was a victim myself and I am still owed over $11,000 from the school. They will not return any calls emails or letters.

Do not attend!
