I purchased a new 2013 Toyota 4Runner from Jim Bishop Toyota. The new vehicle came with a lifetime of free oil changes. University bought the dealership about a year ago and continued to provide free oil changes. Now they have decided that a free oil change means 20 per cent off and refuse to honor the deal. I notified the Toyota Corporation and they told me the Customer Service Director at University would call me by 5:00 p.m. -Friday, May 29, 2015. Of course, I did not get a call back. My position is that University has an obligation to honor the oil change contract made between myself and Jim Bishop Toyota because they assumed the contract when they bought the dealership and changed my oil for free. Free means free and it does not mean 20% off the price. Toyota Corporation should stand behind dealership contracts and get rid of dealerships that do not honor customer contracts. The University Toyota dealership offers poor customer service and this damages the Toyota brand.
