I am a Uniway member - and I will not totaly bash this company but I won't sing their praises either.

Agreed, it is a very high pressure sales presentation - with some very greasy, slick Eddie, used car salesmen pitching their memeberships.

They start by inticing you with the promise of a free vacation and 500.00 shopping spree just for showing up to the appointment. This is all smoke and mirrors as the free vacation is nothing more then a weekend stay at a mid to lower level hotel/motel - that you pay a reduced rate to stay in - NOT FREE. There are lots of exclusions and you have to book a couple of months in advance and weekends are more expensive. You can actually get a better deal on Hotwire or any other travel site.  The 500.00 dollar shopping spree is a card you can use on line - at a specific website that sells dollor store junk. You have to pay shipping on each individual product (not covered by the card) out of pocket. You actually spend more for these junky plastic products then you would at a regualr store. Nothing free - just marketed that way to get you in the door to listen to them.

If you are going for the free stuff only - don't bother, you will waste a good Saturday that you could be doing something else. I did buy a membership but I was still put off by the fact that I felt they lied to me to get me in the door. Deceptive pracices in my opinion.  The staff left a lot to be desired. Overall, just a lackluster, unprofessional, ignorent and loud mouth group of people.

I have gotten some great deals on furniture - however it seemed to take forever to arrive. 6 weeks to 6 months in some cases. Also there seemed to always be a peice that was damaged in the shipping process. This was another hurdle to deal with.

If you have 20k or more in furniture, appliance or upfitting to purchase - this will help you save a good bit of money. Antyhing less, is not worth it. If you are looking for great customer service - you also will not get it here.

Uniway of Columbia is PHENOMENAL!! That's FANOMANAL for the person and people writing negative remarks about Uniway of Columbia

Let me start by letting you all know I am not employed by Uniway and they are not paying me to write this.

I was filtered to this site because I was on Bing looking for a Uniway in Ohio (there isn't one) and saw there were some complaints filed against Uniway of Columbia.  After reading the first complaint, I knew I had to read the
others and I knew I had to respond.

Any intelligent person who took the time to read through all the complaints would be able to tell very easily what "type" of person wrote it. I'm sure any intelligent person reading this is probably nodding their head in agreement and laughing a little because they know exactly what I'm talking about.  The "type" of person I'm referring to is the same person who goes into a pizza place, orders two large pizzas, leaves with them, comes back in after a half hour or so, hands the two boxes back to the person at the counter and demands to have their money back because there was something wrong with the pizza.  However, when the person behind the counter opens the two boxes, there is only one slice left in each box.  THIS
REALLY HAPPENS!!  How do I know, my friend owns a chain of pizza restaurants and tells me stories like this all the time.  I would bet my life the same people trying those scams are the same people who wrote the complaints about Uniway.  How can "you people" live with yourselves and think you are educated enough to write what you wrote? Clearly you are not smart enough because the grammar was horrible. It was so bad; it was funny and sad at the same time.

I can write with complete confidence that Uniway of Columbia is AMAZING!!!  How do I know this?  Well, I know this because I've been a member since 2009 and have saved a ton of money with them.

It made me laugh when I read all of the comments about Uniway being a scam and they don't offer anything worth signing up for.  This couldn't be further from the truth.  Honestly, you would have to be a complete moron not to understand the savings potential with Uniway.  As for the comments about how they don't offer discounts on certain products and some of their discounts are not as much as the retail stores, they tell you that many times during the tour.

As for the comments about the "slick, fast talking salesman", I would have to agree somewhat.  He does talk extremely
fast and looks/acts like a sleazy used car salesman, that doesn't mean he's trying to scam you.  His only issue is he's a little corny, haha! Someone who "you all" probably are familiar with once said, "they say I talk real fast, but if you listen real fast, I ain't got to slow down for you to catch up.  You should listen to one of your own before writing something negative about someone whos just trying to do his job.  Yeah, he might be a little pushy, but youre an adult, stick up for
yourself if you feel youre being scammed.

As far as the other people there, they are AWESOME PEOPLE, especially the cute little white girl working in the showroom and the black guy who also works in the showroom and does most of the warehouse work.  I wish I remember their names, but it's been a while since I've been there.

Now, let me describe to all of you why I KNOW Uniway of Columbia is great.  I signed up because I was in the process of building a 100% complete custom home, and since I know a lot about the building process and I know how much money it costs, anything that would help me save money would be a good thing.  I can assure anyone reading this who doesn't know, but when you build a 100% complete custom home, you have to pick out and buy EVERYTHING that goes in the house.  The builder will give you a budget and an itemized list of how much to spend on certain things like flooring, lighting,
cabinets, door hardware, etc., but its all to you.  If you want to spend a little more on one area, you can just take a little from another area. Or, you can always pay more when the home is complete.  Now, when you build a house, 99.99% of the time, you're going to have to pay a little extra at the end because everyone always wants the upgrades.  That is
unless you are a member of Uniway, and of course, if youre smart.

I bought my cabinets, flooring, door hardware, front door, plumbing fixtures, plumbing hardware, etc. from Uniway.  All of those items were upgrades from the budget my builder gave me and I ended up getting a small check from the builder at the time of closing because I was under the original budget.

I bought other things at Uniway outside the construction of my home and have experienced the same great savings.  In fact, I bought a crib from Uniway and it was approximately half the cost of the same crib in the store.  I don't mean same color and same style, I mean SAME MANUFACTURER, SAME STYLE, SAME SIZE, SAME EVERYTHING!!

I didn't buy everything from Uniway for the construction for my house because items such as appliances and window treatments did not offer much savings...if any at all.  But unlike the people writing these complaints,
I listened during the tour, and the people at Uniway specifically tell you many times they don't offer discounts on everything.

Well, I think I've gone on long enough and I think I've done a good job of explaining why Uniway of Columbia is a great place and why you should not listen to any of the complaints posted by these people.  They are all obviously the "type" of people who expect everything to be handed to them and if they have to use their brain to think about something, it's
probably a scam.

UNIWAY OF COLUMBIA IS NOT A SCAM!!!
