Unlimited Local Savings 777 Discount Club Unlimited Local Savings..Fraudulent Deduction From Checking Account. Beware! Internet
On Wednesday, December 29, 2010, I applied for a PDL online. At the end of countless text messages and phone calls, I did not take out a PDL.
December 31, 2010, I was checking my online checking account and I found a unauthorized charge to my account and when I checked the image, it was a "made-up" check with a bogus check number. This company did include their website address and phone number on the said "made-up" check. The company was "Unlimited Local Savings".
I immediately called their Customer Service number and asked what was up with this unauthorized debit to my account. The representative asked if I had applied for a PDL online recently, and I said yes, but I didn't take the loan and I sure the heck didn't agree to this charge. I then told her to cancel any membership as it was fraudulent (I used that word a lot) and to issue a refund immediately. She gave me a Customer Number and gave me the URL for a website where I could go an apply for a refund.
Went to the refund website (www.ulsrefund.com), entered required information, then got an immediate autoresponse that said to allow 72 hours for an update on the status of my refund. Not trusting the fact that I will get a refund, I just put a stop payment on this unauthorized debit.
No more online applications for anything from me. Lesson learned. Oh, and I'm done with this company yet. I will go to every internet site I can find, including the BBB and postmy story about "Unlimited Local Savings".
