I have had a terrible experience with Unlimited Products! I ordered a cowl induction hood for my truck and when I got it it was in such bad shape that my auto body person refused to use it! He said that the hood was in such bad shape that it would not fit and was weak, had bubbles, stress cracks, shallow spots, and just all around poor quality! I tried now for a month to get this company to work with me to replace the hood since they are the only ones that seem to have that type.



I sent in a letter of complaint as they asked as well as pictures of the hoods defects by over night Fed -Ex. they agreed that the hood was defected. I asked them to send me another hood, one that was the quality that they advertise. They said that they would as soon as I got the return referance number from them by mail and I send them the defective hood. They then informed me that I would be paying the $94.08 to send back the hood as well as paying for them to send me another hood!! I told them that I would not pay for there mistake and asked for the manager. I was told that the shipping manager was out in the whare house and coundn't be contacted. That she would call me back first thing the next morning.

The next morning... No call. I called them back and got the same thing. I asked for some other management and was told that other than her and the shipping management was the owner, and when I asked for him, I was told that he is never in. I was told that there was no one else to talk to over this. Each day for over a month now I have been getting the same 'ol run around. And as well, I have never received the so called referance number to be able to return the defective hood! My truck is in the body shop being preped for painting. The hood is stopping the body guy. And My truck is expected in a show in Oct 9th on witch I have all ready paid the entrance fee. The hood company was told of this and they seem to have no care that they may cause me to miss the show and lose my fee.

Unlimited Products has no interest to fix there defect problem. As I researced them, I have found that I am just one of a very many that has been screwed in the same was by Unlimited Products! The BBB has complaints from all over the US. And I have found that Unlimited Products has been banned from doing business in the state of KS. by the state. I have found that this company has no intentions of ever trying to satisfy there customers who have this problem with them. They have only given partial refunds at best to some and even then they charge 25 - 30% restocking fee.

This company has been doing business like this for years now and is still able to remain the same. It is a shame that they are able to continue ripping off the public as they are. My advice? DO NOT buy from Unlimited Products at all!! And be sure that if a company has any name that sounds close to Unlimited Products that you make sure that it is not the same company. This company not un-like others who have been doing bad business, uses other names to keep selling there bad products to the consumer. This one has different names and address. All of the ones I have found are listed above. I have also found another bad report in this web site.

 I purchased two carbon fiber wheel tubes from Unlimited Products and when they arrived they were damaged . I called unlimited and they said they will ship two more out to me and they were at my door in five days . Great company to deal with

Today in the mail I received a letter from Unlimited Products that I thought would finally be the return referance number. Instead, It read this way word for word and spelling."09-02-04 The additional material we left at the lower portion is to be removed by installer, then hood will fit...see circled area." ( they are refering to the picture that shows how the cowl hits the body of the truck.) They go on to write..."We designed this in for production/mold release issues. Otherwise the item would have serious stress cracking when pulling from the mold." (Note that in the pictures I sent and are in this site, show serious stress cracks! These cracks are all over the hood!)The letter goes on to read... "The broken area above hinge can be repaired by sanding and adding fiberglass. This is only a 10 minute job by experienced installers." (What they say is true about repairing the crack, but first, I paid for what they claimed is a "quality hood". A crack is not quality work in any way! And what is to stop it from cracking again? The quality is very poor. Bottom line. And I should not have to accept that crack!)They go on to write..."We are sorry you are having problems, but we have sold over 100 of these hoods with no customer complaints."( That statement is so false that it is sick since I have found that many BBB's all over the US has complaints just as mine over this company! If no one has complained, then why is it that the state of Ks. has banned them from doing busines in there state?!) In conclusion they write..."Also check to see if you installer has removed the stock hinges springs.Thanks for your inquiry." No one signed this letter!They never addressed all the other defective problems with the hood like the air bubbles either ones that are popped or the un-popped ones or the fact that the hood is so out of shape that it can not be made to fit. I talked to my body guy, who by the way is an award winning body and paint person, showed him this letter and he was insulted! He told me for him to repair all the defects in this hood, it will cost me $500.00!! And even then he could not be sure that it would last even a year! I took this letter from Unlimited Products in this way... "We have your money...so tuff sh#t!" They have no intention as to replacing the hood or refunding any money! To them, this matter is closed. Not if I have anything to say about it!!!
