Uno Chicago Pizzeria ripoff Maryville Tennessee
This is in regards to a visit at the Uno Chicago Pizzeria in Maryville TN. My family and I visited this location on November 21, 2003 at 4:15 P.M. We ordered a Greek Salad to share between myself, husband and daughter. We also ordered a sample platter and a pizza. We were sharing the salad and about finished with it when I looked down and saw a roach in it.
My husband and daughter saw my expression and then also looked at the salad. I was throwing up as well as my daughter at this point. We asked for the manager who inspected the salad and gave us the headquarters phone number. We called them and they stated their insurance company would be calling us. We went to the doctor because at this point we all were throwing up and had diaharra, and were given medication for it.
We then informed the insurance company (Hanover out of Virgina), and notified the Health Dept. as well. We asked that they pay our medical bills, and to reinburse our personal insurance company and our medicine. The Hanover insurance Rep. stated all he was going to pay was our out of pocket expenses, I asked for them to reinburse our insurance company and they refused. At this point the guy asked me if I put the bug in the salad!!!!
I am shocked at Hanover Insurance Company.I asked him if he wanted me to send the salad with the roach in it to him(fedex). He stated no!!!I have witnesses to the roach in the salad at the time of consumtion including their store manager(Noel Raymond). Uno needs to get another insurance carrier, that cares about Uno's customers.
