I signed up to do at home surveys. My inbox and junk folder were bombarded with emails inviting me to do survey after survey. I only did the surveys that didn't offer "free trials" of anything. I tried to do the surveys but there were so many and it was so time consuming that after only 1 or 2 days I unsubscribed to all of them.

Yesterday I was online checking my bank account and I've been billed for $39.95. It came through as Unparalleled Marketing and there isn't a contact phone number or any way to reach them. I have since cancelled my card and am waiting for a new one. I filed an "unauthorized charge" with my bank and am hoping to be able to get a refund.

I never give companies on the internet my true home or cell phone numbers so I haven't been affected in that way.
