I purchased my computer from upcc on january 2001. On june of 2002 i went in cause i had a virus that i had in quarranten, and i was using windows millenum edition, and my computer was freezing up alot. After talking to the owner about my problems, he suggested that i go to windows xp home edition. Then i asked him if i could have an additonal 20 harddrive to just store pictures and music on,and a dvd player he said no problem.

Then he was telling me with the xp edition all the things that i could do with it, and he gave me a price of 338.62, and i said okay. Well the dvd player dont work, my original 30ghz hard drive is my storage drive, and when i went in with the computer to have him get my dvd player to work he said that i would have to fill out a work order, cause if he had to install any software that he would have to charge me.

Well i didnt feel that i should have to pay him 45dollars and hour again to make the dvd work cause the paper that came with the dvd said that there isnt any software that came with it and xp doesnt have the software installed, but millenium did. So now i have a dvd that dont work a smaller hardrive, and my 30 hardrive is full of all the things that i had done on it previously.

I can't believe that even my 2 year warranty doesnt even mean anything, cause he said if its a software problem , its not his problem. Well her i am wondering what the heck went wrong was it my lack of knowledge or someone trying to make a point that he feels more of a human being bying trying to sell something and not making sure that it works, and cashing the check. And he did install software, for my printer camera and virus protection etc. I dont have anything in writing for a warranty on the new harddrive either.

For the record this issue has already been resolved through other Bureau's and each and every time they find her complaint un-warranted.
First of all she Rants and Raves about her HD upgrade everytime she complains, though she makes many spelling error her HD has or had nothing to do with anything concerning her complaints.
Secondly the Decision to upgrade to Windows XP was her's and again a moot point.

The issue here is her lack of education especially where a PC is concerned. Her DVD player DID in fact work and I in fact DID install software and the Codec for Windows XP. The Issue here was she did not know how to use it and after me explaining to her briefly how to use it without her understanding I offered to tutor her on how to use it and she became defensive.

Furthermore I went out of my way and FILLED a compact disk with FREE dvd playing software and complete instructions on how to use them and she never came to claim the CD.

In Conclusion I feel I have bent over backwards for her, especially for which she paid me and she is treating me and this situation unfairly.
