I don't know how they continue to get away with taking advantage of my community through the general public and it's employees. 

    Fact #1:  they say they are non-profit to get away with not paying taxes.  We pay Taxes that are high because UPMC dosen't pay. How dose this help the community? I did the research and they charge over 1,000 x in some areas throughout the nation. They claim to pass on low cost to remain a non-profit.  They also are very known for not paying employees to current standards.

     Fact #2:  Speaking of employees, -we are  A) our children in early 2015 joined the army and air force and we contacted the health benefits right away to take them off our insurance.  They would not.  They told me I had to prove they had health insurance. So, I contacted the state and they could not do anything about it. I then contacted UPMC benefits again to explain that our children would have no contact with us due to training in the services and we could not provide proof they had insurance. They continued to take our money knowing it was excessive health care.  I would say this is a crime against the community and it's employees. But, who are we?-only someone they take money from.

     Fact #3:  My wife lost her hearing amoung other things and for the first time had to go on disability. They gave her a hard time prior to the leave.  She kept telling her supervisors she was having a problem and soon after in retaliation they gave her non-consiquential repremands and made her do things at work that others wern't doing and she had a severaly hard time doing. ( ie: working 10 days in a row).  She ended up throwing up at work on a daily basis..

    Fact#4:  speaking of going on disability, My wife has tried on several occassions to waive her health insurance. (we found cheaper) even with her hearing issue they told her on several occassions to call orjust to get someone to call for her.  She finally was told to fax proof of her other insurance and they would take it.  She did fax it and has not heard anything from them. It's now past the enrollment period.-go figure?The benefits department does not have an email and she is being forced to the phone again.

     Fact#5:  Don't they have any other form of communication for the disabled? or is this not for employees??

Anyways, back to the subject.

     Fact#6:  She is getting the run around to the point she is being forced to quit because of the excessive health insurance cost they are insisting her to have.

     Who is letting them get away with this and many more issues like this.  We know other employees that need thier job / afraid of retaliation /afraid of thier reputation / know there isn't any other job in the area (monopoly) and so are very afraid to speak up.  They overly dominate , take advantage and monopolize the people and the industry.  Is there anyone out ther not afaid to confront them? 

     How do you deal with a bully? or is it just policy..........
