ups UPS will not hold at a nearby Center mesa, Arizona

A package was sent to me and I could not be home to sign it so I asked the package to be held at a Customer Center near me.  UPS refused and will only hold it in another town.  There are 4 Centers closer than that distant town so this makes no sense.  But, of course, if I wanted to pay extra they could send to a different Store/Center.

I called 3 different days and each time they could not even find the Center close to me.  I finally did a search and gave them the address of the Center where I've picked up packages before.  They still refused with no other explanation but that they have changed things and my packages can only be picked up at the Center out of town. 

Well, they will soon learn that customers can change too.  And to make matters worse they aren't open late enough for me to even get there after work even if I could travel the extra distance.

The last person I talked to did not understand English that well and I asked for the Manager.  Wouldn't you know there was no manager there.

UPS has no clue what customer service is all about and I don't recommend using them.  It seems real odd to say that even the USPS is better than UPS.  But in Phoenix, AZ. I feel it is true.  Millions of people here but I have to drive 30 miles one way to pick up a package.  Get real.
