Urban Home Attempts to Extort Additional Money After Purchase Sherman Oaks, California

We purchased an expensive sofa sectional from Urban Home and scheduled delivery for about ten days later.  Two days after the purchase, we received a call from Urban Home claiming they had "undercharged" us for the sofa and asking for my credit card info, and demanded we pay the difference between what we paid during the sale purchase and what they claimed it was REALLY worth.  Not only was this an outrageous increase in the price, but we couldn't do it on principle! 

We cited to them California Professions Code section 12024.2, which explicitly prevents this and punishes this sort of conduct as a misdemeanor, and ran the issue all the way up to the store manager.  They didn't care.  They refused to honor the price we paid unless we paid more.  We refused; they refunded the original purchase price and granted us the "courtesy" of waiving the 20 percent re-stocking fee associated with the refund.  How kind!
