I purchased a supposedly NEW but defective Chinese made scooter on April 23 from Ubran motorcycles through eBay.  The scooter was never street leagal due to inadequate paper work and only had 40 miles before it broke down.  The owner Tim Choy informed me the scooter needed a new carburetor and offered to sell me one for $60.00.  It was more than the carburetor and the repair bill was $300.00.  The scooter supposedly has a one-year warranty on the motor.  I also had to obtain power of attorney from Mr. Choy in order to have a proper title prepared to make the scooter legal which cost $45.00.  The title was included in the sale.  I am owed $350.00.  I did not include towing charges and or other charges.  I have always conducted myself fairly and request the same from Mr. Choy.

On June 22, Mr. Choy offered to reinburse me providing I remove the negative feedback off eBay.  This was not the first time he offered to pay me back the money he owes me so naturally ,I dont believe a word he says.  I have subsquently learned that I am not alone when it comes to Mr. Choy selling defective scooters.  He has learned to delay shipping scooters since eBay motor vehicle protection policy begins from the day of purchase for 30 days.  Assembling is required and you simply run out of time.

CA district attorney's office is investigating my claim and I will continue until Mr. Choy is held accountable.
