Urban Nutrition - MyDailyDose.com Robbed me ripped me off won't respond to emails and ignored cancellation New York
I participated in MyDailyDose.com's free trial, and canceled my autoship perhaps three days after signing up with them. My cancellation was confirmed, and I thought, "Great, that was easy. I can't believe people said they were hard to deal with."
However, about a week ago, it was discovered that they had debited $39.99 from my bank account! Confused, I tried emailing them, explaining what had happened. I did not receive a response. I tried emailing them again a couple days later, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but again, did not receive a response. I've emailed a third time, and, when not recieving a response YET AGAIN, I called their hotline, only to be greeted to a completely automated answering service! There are NO human beings you can actually contact at this company!
I'm to the point now where I'm incredibly outraged at this robbery! I canceled my subscription WAY ahead of time, this was confirmed BY THEM, and yet they STILL charged me! In fact, I received a packaged from them today, which I'll be sending right back.
This is totally unacceptable! I DEMAND a HUMAN BEING respond to this, and that my money is returned, none of this "store credit" rubbish. Urban Nutrition has ripped me off, and proved themselves to be a complete scam!

Dear Ms. Cowan,
I assure you, we are a legitimate, ethical business. We believe in our products and care about our customers. We have a very large staff dedicated to answering the numerous telephone lines that ring continuously as well as reply individually to the 1000's of emails we receive on a daily basis.
The unfortunate incident you experienced was due to a software error that prevented your cancellation from being completed in a timely fashion. Thankfully this was an isolated incident, but we sincerely apologize the inconvenience it has caused you! We received your emails on 12/27 and 12/30, both of which were personally responded to. At this time we ensured your participation in the Autoship program was completely cancelled and we processed an immediate refund without the benefit of a product return. The fantastic customer response to our product line has necessitated many system upgrades. In the meantime, we are working out the kinks in our new systems and again we apologize for the inconvenience it has caused you!
Although we had already taken care of your account via email, we were not aware of your posting on this website until a longstanding customer notified us of it. Our actions are driven solely by a desire to provide the best customer service we can to our customers. We value our customers and typically process most customer requests within 24 business hours.
Thank you for trying our products. If you have any other concerns or questions, feel free to contact me directly at 1-800-515-1070

Urban Nutrition (New York, NY) only responds to threats!

After contacting them a total of 59 times (!!!), a total of 42 with the first line reading "I've reported your "company"/scam circle to badbusinessbureau.com to make sure others don't fall into your trap", I FINALLY received a response! They informed me that my account would be refunded, and to allow 2-3 days for my credit card company to reflect the change.
All it takes is a little determination, and threatening to show "future customers" what this company is really like!
