I was approached by a Linda Simmons in the Greyhound Station in Memphis claiming she was recruiting youn men for a workforce development program that helps give men another chance. She told me I would travel the US selling magizines door to door making $500 a wk with room and meals all paid for, 40% commission off all sales, small cash advances, professional clothing and hair cut expenses covered as well.
She contacted me the following day asking if I was ready to travel to New York City, Ny to enter into the program. I am unemployed, trying to start over after a fall so I went to the Greyhound Station where a one way bus ticket was waiting for me.
Upon arrival, I attempted several times to contact Linda Simmons but she kept forwarding me to voicemail. Once I got off the bus 18.5 hrs from where Im from, I ran across another young man who had been told the same thomg but had been waiting at the bus station for over 3 hrs, stranded with no money and unable to nake contact with anyone associated with this company.
After having my spouse call Linda Simmons from her number, I came across the contact info or a Mike 517-315-6155. He also was not taking any calls but his phone was actually ringing. After attempting to call him for close to 45 minutes, he shows up in a mini van with 4 children and a woman in the van. He give me and the other young man $10 to eat with and took us to a motel where he expected me to share the room with dounle befs with 3 other men.
Once I began to express my concerns, Mike began to get arguementative, telling me I had to stay there a manditory 30 days before he would pay to send me home. I had not received any paperwork stating this. As a matter of fact I had not been given any paperwork at all.
I sternly pressed the issue that I was not confortable with the situation and that I wanted to go home immediately and Mike gave me $100, telling me that was all I was going to to get from him.
I get home and search the internet deeper about this company and I come across this.
This company is fraudulent, not only to the customers but the employees. The employees are working off of 100% commission so the more people who fall for this SCAM, the larger the employees checks and appearantly the magizines never even arrive! SCAM FRAUD SCAM FRAUD!!!!
