Once again US Bank is ripping me off in fees. I saw that I was going to short in my acct and I called the customer service dept and asked them if I could deposit CASH intot he ATM machine and would it be posted right away to my acct and I was told by the customer service dept that I could deposit CASH into the atm machine and it would post to my acct when the branch opens and that my acct. would not be charged any over drafts because it was cash. Well here we are 3 days later and I was charged 3 overdraft charges because they pended half the deposit. I called the customer service dept and of course now they can not assist me I will have to call my branch. HAHAHAHAHA what a joke. I called my branch and spoke with Amy. She stated that she could not remove the fees because the ATM machine is a "machine" and it doesn't know if it was cash or checks. (Thanks for the lesson on machine there Amy.) I then explained to her what I was told by the US BANK CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, JOHN and she stated that she didn't care what he said this was not an banking error (which it was since I was told by JOHN US BANK REP that I could dep that way) and she would only remove 1 as a courtesy. So I am still out $74.00. What a ripped off. I have been with US for 9 yrs and it keeps getting worse and worse. Taking my money elsewhere.

There's no leprechaun in the ATM.

When you deposit cash into an ATM, you DO NOT get FULL credit for that money immediately. You get $100 of it right then and the rest credited the next business day.

There's no leprechaun in the ATM to verify that you actually put in the amount of cash that you claim to have. Obviously, that's why the bank only makes $100 of it available until the funds are verified the next business day.

So, Dora, if you owned the bank, would you honestly have a policy different from this one? Would you really trust the average person enough to immediately give them full credit of cash deposits no one at the bank physically confirmed? I don't think so.

You signed a legal document when you opened your USB account stating that you understand and agree to all terms of the account, including their ATM and funds availability policies. Frankly, the bank did you a favor by removing one of the fees. I wouldn't remove any of them. You've been at that bank for long enough to know how things work. You robbed yourself. Take responsibility for your own mistakes.

You overdrafted your account and tried to deposit money to cover it. You are liable for the fees you incurred.

You spent money you did not have and expect the bank to do something for you. That's not how banks work. Any bank you go to will do the exact same thing.
