On numerous occasions the US Bank have charged us $37.50 overdraft fee when funds have been available, thus causing a domino effect to accumulate massive overdraft fees e.g. 7 x $37.50 per pay period thus leaving our account with no money until the next pay period, which causes my son and I financial hardship till the next pay period i.e.:

No money for gas to get him to school
No money for food
No money for emergencies

Today I withdrew my husbands paycheck (what was left of it!) and placed it in another bank account.

The way they manipulate their transactions is in the best interest of the bank and not the consumer.

If your wise never bank there! it would be safer putting it under the matress!!!

To prove if you were overdrawn or not, manually add back in all the fees surrounding this incident on your statement. If you still show negative, sorry, it's your fault and the fees are valid.

I had a positive balance of $59... I deposited $50 the previous day because I had $1 on hold for $10.02 of gas which hadn't hit the account. And I was thinking I had $49 hence I was swiping my card for milk etc. very small amounts.

Yes they did process the largest items first, which I gather is common practice for banks in the US.

I calculated I had 49.98 left! But the bank had different ideas, the next day they took out $37.50 overdraft fee, which left a balance of $12.48 this wasn't to my knowledge at the time so I was used my card for 7 small transactions which caused 6 more overdraft fees.

This is the 3rd time it has happened I previously had 3 fees waived, but they told me you are only allowed to do this once, now I am reverting back to our local bank.

Did you cause your account to go into a negative balance? Were the transactions posted from the largest amount to the smallest?
