I have talked to others and what they do is wait for some overdraft to occurr then they charge 550 and either sue you or keep you from getting another account else where.worse than quest even.

have been brought against us bank. Unconciousable business practices. Even now in oregon law suits are in progress. I joined one at overdraft.com.Also the banks hie PR firms to censure good people like you and me from using our constitional rights to free speech. They brow beat and baddger complaint givers /writers. Thus sensoring the publics right to know about the corrupt and dishonest practices of major corporations against the little guy. These mercenarys will say and do anything to keep thier s**t pedeling censorship going on this site. Including insults ,lies and personal attacks. Dot give up your consitional right to free speech to these fakes.

Hello!

We at US Bank pride our service at giving the best service possible and providing you the most accurate disclosures possible about fee and terms and conditions! Very rarely will the bank "sue" for a simple overdraft issue, while we may report delinquency to ChexSystems and Credit Bureau and attempt to collect upon balances owed the bank normally would not involve the legal system unless excessively high balances were owed (which $550 is not excessive) or there was illegal activity that caused the charge off (such as fake deposits or kitting checks) due to the expensive legal process.

We do strive to provide better service then Qwest Communications, then again you can get better service from a tree stump then qwest, so we strive to provide much better service then Qwest!

So you claim that if an account is overdrawn by $1 that the bank will automatically charge $550 and start collection activity? I say, you're out to lunch. Each bank had a set fee that they charge for each item that posts to the negative. If you have enough items that post negative, then with the fees the total could go to $550. If no deposits are made in a length of time then the account is closed due to overdraft. This would be reported to Chex Systems or other similar agency. If still not paid then the bank would sell the debt to a collection agency to recoup some of their money and then the collection agency would start contacting you. But again it would take far more than one item overdrafting and quite some time of no deposits into the account to get to that point.

The key here is, not to overdraft. No overdraft = no overdraft fees.
