Beware of US Buildings salesmen and their pitch, and read the fine print before you sign anything or send them any money. Especially do not discuss details when you cannot look at the contract in your hands. These guys are very slick. They purport to have spoken with you a few months back, like a lot of stock market salesmen do, and they claim to be closing out and have some fantastic deals if you can just put down a deposit immediately. On the phone they promise that the building under discussion is exactly what you want, but if you look at the contract it is something different. In my case I wanted an enclosed building but after reading the contract wording a couple of times it became clear that what they are supposedly selling is just framework. I say supposedly because who knows what may or may not ever show up. They claim that the building is engineered to your States' codes, but how could it be if it is already sitting in their warehouse. The blueprints they send are nothing but some generic drawings that really don't clarify anything. Once I realized that the entire matter was a scam I called to cancel. That is when they point out the fine print that all deposits are forfeited and in addition they claim that you owe them 50% of the conttract for liquidated damages. And this is supposedly for items sitting in their warehouse, despite the fact that what they spell out is not even what was discussed on the phone. A careful reading further discloses that the phone salesman is not even an employee of US Buildings but some outside representative. In conversation they are rude, even resorting to name- calling. Then they email you with false claims supposedly to color any legal proceeding you may file. I may or may not have lost $4,000 to these crooks but I fully intend to file with the courts. I have already filed with the Florida Attorney General. Bottom line, avoid doing business with these people.
