My family and I have long been customers of US Cellular. But I decided to get an iPhone 2 years ago so I needed to switch my service to AT&T. US Cellular let me out of my contract at a prorated amount of approximately $50. I then paid my final bill of about $400 after which US Cellular ported my phone number to AT&T.

Now, two years later, as I apply for a mortgage, I get the surprise that I have an eye-sore of a $400. bill from US Cellular on my credit report. When I called US Cellular, they said they couldnt investigate the claim because the account had already been referred to a collection agency; Valentine something or other.  US Cellular was then kind enough to transfer me to Valentine (weird that it was an inside, transferable call) who told me that they couldnt do anything about the bill because since US Cellular sent the bill to them, it was obviously legitimate. Yeah!!! I love this!!

So, instead of spending the next 6 months of my life in a small claims legal battle or attempting to deal with these nimrods, Im choosing to deal with this in the fastest, most effective manner. So thanks for listening and feel free to post other websites like this one!
