Complaint Review: US Federal Grants

 I recieved a phone call on my private unlisted phone which is registered under the do not call registry from a man named Jack, he refused to give his full adress and only identifed himself as a government emplyee working for the US Federal Grants Department. I had been cosen to recieve a grant of $7,000.00 that never needs to be paied back and it was part of the governments stimulus package. He asked if I had a bank account or if I wished to do this threw western union, I told him Wester Union. I was placed on hold then was disconnected. I called the number back (202) 864-1163, the person who answered the call asnswer " US Federal Grants Department", I gave them my name and was returned back to Jack, he all ready had my full name including my adress, date of burth and that I was Paul Senior.

He told me that I needed proof if my identification when I get to the Wester Union location, I was to call them next week April the 22nd, call them at (202) 864-1163, I would need a debit or credit card with a minimum balance of $225.00 but I do not give them the credit card number, this will be my code to release the Wester Union MTCN number and confirm I am the recipian. at this point the "US FederalGovernment Grants" representitive will release Western Uninon's Money Transfer Confirmation Number, the Wester Union rep will then verify my Identification using 2 forms of identification to which I am supposed to recieve $7,000.00 from that Wester Union office.

i tried to get an exact adress from the caller who replied that phone conversations are not secure threw the phone and only repeated that he was with the US Federal Grants Devision and I was recieving these funds because I had always filed my taxes on time, correct, did not file bankruptcy, incorrect but it may have been removed from my records as it has been over 19 years since the case was closed. I questioned him if this was the result from my request for financial aid to return to school to learn a new trade, he said no.

 I have tried 37 web locations which are fausly advertised as "free reverse number look up" to get an adress but of course these companies are not free to which they should be suied for for faulse advertising. I am contacting the actual US Federal government Grant Department to see if they know anything about this.

 Please people, never give out your social security information and if any one has promised you money but you must send them some funds to process / release the amount promised, it is a scam
