I entered a contract with Mepco Finance on Feb 2008, to pay for my extended warranty through US Fidelis. I paid appoximately $2,500.00 for a five year bumper to bumper coverage. I cancelled my contract on 16 May 2011. I never received any notice of US Fidelis being turned over to another company of any kind. I eventually got in contact with Sophie of Warrentech, on June 2011. She gave me a number for US Fidelis to call as she said that company was now bankrupt and being handled by VEMECO. I called the number Sophie gave me and talked with Ted of Fidelis, he said Caitlin would call me the next day, she didn't. I called the day after the failed call back day, only got a ringing and then line would go dead! Two days after talking with Ted, I called number again, David answered. He said Caitlin was busy. He seemed to not be able to answer my question as to why Vemeco was going to pay me a little over $60.00 dollars and sign a paper saying they are released from any future contract, and that US Fidelis would be responsible for any residual pro-rated payment refund due back to me. My contract was good until March of 2013, at five years of start, I had nearly two years of refund back. Math: $2,500.00 @ 5 years = $500.00 a year. If I sign the Vemeco paperwork, which Caitlin of US Fidelis said I would have to do to get a refund back from their end as Vemeco has to notify them of the cancellation via bureaucratic protocol. Seems like there is a buy me and I'll protect your claims uprisings by forcing a signed agreement which means they'll never get anything from US Fidelis as Vemeco is the administrator now of US Fidelis! Looks like and smells like a shell game to me. Flip flop on the blame game.
