I have been reading the Rip-Offs.com articles for years and even wrote some of my own and here's my last REPORT.
20 years ago one occasionally ran into a crooked business. Today, 50% or more of every company, organization, doctor, lawyer, insurance company, car dealer, MINISTER/PRIEST, E-bay, retail store, ....rips me AND YOU off. I finally got tired of being threatened with collection agencies, reposession, job loss, etc and said GO FOR IT. I've had it with the constant retalliation of these companies being able to ruin my 45 years of good credit because they are dishonest, incompetent, or just plain crooked.
The practice of ripping off the consumer appears to have become the SMART practice of successful profit-savvy companies everwhere.
Whether it is the physician who bills me $300.00 for badmouthing the referring physician then telling me she doesn't have time to see me but will refer me to another SPECIALIST, then send me to a collection agency because my insurance company doesn't think they should pay for her medical "non"medical practice-or better yet, doesn't even cover her in the first place like her office assured me she was and I no longer have $300.00 because of all the RIPOFFS, to the University of Pathetic Online who rips off the American people by throwing $37,000.00 (promised student loan amount-(their cost for a Masters--$18,500.00) to anyone claiming they have a Bachelor's degree, whether they can write a sentence or not-then, give them a Master's degree (and they still can't write a sentence), to the lies of every car dealer I've ever delt with, to the Catholic priest (baby boy or girl-doesn't matter to them) or ministers who told the public that the y-2000 computer crash was going to yield them a "paid in full" mortgage receipt spiritually showing up in their mail boxes---IF they had faith and sent their tithe in right away-God's reward--cheating the people whose money God isn't going to make them pay back. I'm sorry good people don't see these demons for what they are God, I'm sure it makes you SICK.
Go ahead and send me to a collection agency. I'm not paying one more dime to you crooks. Sue me. Since some slimey judge let my x-husband lie and steal money from my PO box, ruining my livelyhood, my business, by ignoring the fact that the retired, alcoholic school principal-- (65 year old Robert Redford who fat women love) as he calls himself, convinced the frumpy old maid postmaster at a little town of 300, that it was really HIS business even though it was licensed solely in my name, to change the lock on my PO box and only give him the key- ILLEGAL RIGHT?? Funny how the Federal Government just won't return your calls once they find out that THEY ruined my life and are liable. I'm not important for any attorney to see the injustice and take my case-- And by the way, where are all the women's rights' activist--remember NOW-the organization that worked for EQUAL RIGHTS FOR WOMEN--The organization I supported and marched through sweltering or frozen Illinois streets in the '70's & 80's so the frumpy maid could have her postmaster job in the first place rather than slinging hash in some dive-where she should have been and maybe then wouldn't have ruined my financial life doing illegal things with my PO box for a lying, manipulating, alcoholic. Try to find the NOW office-There is a number in Washington but no human staff.
So here's what I have to say to all you out there getting ripped off day after day and writing these reports...GET USE TO IT...Your livelyhood, 800 credit rating, perfect little life in the suburbs...won't last. Keep your little kids away from men who wear black dresses, learn to live within your means so you don't need credit, READ RIPOFF REPORTS BEFORE YOU GET THAT CELL PHONE.and if that doesn't work-and it won't, wait 6 years and demand they clear the ripoff off your credit report-if you still care by then.
I can't wait to vote next Tuesday. Toss the dice. You're better off.

Mary, you have come to the right place to scream about all of them. Sorry for all your troubles, and you seem to have had many.
The government gives less than a rat's a*s about any of us as long as we keep working and sweating and sending in that healthy 'donation' known as income tax. What the heck, they are going to get theirs no matter what.
The clergy is a mess and those 'God-fearing' folk who are scamming congregations are fixing to get theirs when they meet their maker. They make me believe in hell and it is populated by THEM! If hypocrisy is truly a sin, a lot of those guys had better watch out; they are on St. Peter's watch list.
I will not get used to it. Not now, not ever. What I will do is turn my back on the political parties like they have turned their backs on us.
Corporations have bought out the entire political system and it has sold us down the river to pander to them. Corporate lobbyists and special interests run the show. The government is just worried about which country it will invade next in its quest to empire build; it leaves domectic policy to the corporate greed demons.
If the crooks can't get their hands on your credit card number or checking or savings account number, they'll just pack some made up crap onto your phone bill. Nine thousand ways to commit fraud and the government is blind to every one of them. We had eight years of Democrats followed by four year of Republicans and none of them give a d**n about the citizens of this country. Both parties are guilty of forgetting what their d**n jobs are.
I am sick of being bent over and loaded like Grandpa's old shotgun wherever I go. I don't even have to leave the house to get robbed anymore. They will get me via my own computer!
I figure the best way to deal with this is to vote. But I will never vote for either a Democrat or a Republican again...EVER! Green Party, Libertarian, whoever else shows up on the ballot will get my vote from now on. Satan himself would get my vote this year if he were the only other candidate. At least there would be no doubt about whwere he stood.
Perhaps enough people will get fed up in the coming years to do the same and a real change will be made at last. Meanwhile, I will be thumbing my nose at 'them' in the voting booth every four years.
I will not be a Corporate Government work mule forever!
(Uh, I thought screwing around with someone's mailbox or post office box was a federal offense? Or is it only an offense when they say it is or want it to be?)
