These people call me up out of nowhere saying that my Debit card had entered me in a million dollar sweepstakes when I had used it somewhere. I only use it for simple everyday stuff like the grocery store or to get gas in my car first of all. After alot of fast talking they congratulate me for winning a diamond watch and some magazine. After more fast talking they ask me to verify my Visa #'s and the sec. code. I got their info in case it was a scam and gave them the info. Then they say that it wasn't een that card that entered me in the drawing. this is where it gets weird and I get really suspicious. They say that they need the #'s off of my Mastercard as well. I say no because it is a shared acct with my hubby and he needs to know before I give out the #'s. (thats my excuse because I am really suspicious now). He keeps talking really fast and saying how this info is needed to verify that I can pay for the other subscriptions if I choose to when they send the watch and free ones to me. I'm thinking that I will pay for them with the Visa that I just gave you people the info to. I tell him that and he says that he needs the info on the Mastercard because it's the card that entered me in the drawing. I don't know why but I'm thinking free diamond watch and he promises me that it's only to verify funds not to make any payment because i have not agreed to buy anything. So I give up the Mastercard info. My Hubby gets home and Googles the company. Low and behold they are scammers and so he freezes the acct. and we are going to get a new card next week. While we are on the phone the guy calls back so my hubby talks to them and the guy tell him that I am the one that "made the order" and he needs to talk to me. I'm freaking out! We shouldn't get charged for anything hopefully but believe me I will never do that again! Beware!!!! Fast Talkers!!!!
