Complaint Review: US Mailorder Exchange

US Mailorder Exchange AKA JD MARVEL ripoff - never received the merchandise I ordered. Sent a check on 5/26/04 and it was cashed on 6/9/04. Champlain, NY

Their ad appeared in the coupon booklet in my local Sunday newspaper for bras. I mailed a check for $18.95 on 5/26/04 and it was cashed on 6/9/04. I have sent 3 messages to the website for this company and have made 5 calls to the customer service number listed on the coupon that I sent them. The first 4 calls resulted in getting their voicemail and got the message that the mailbox was full and to please hang up. I called again on the 28th and now got the message that the customer service number is not in service, but will be available again on August 1st.

I started trying to contact them around July 18th when I realized that they had cashed my check and it was beyond the amount of time that it should have taken to receive the merchandise.

They have a New York P.O. Box, but they are in Canada. I even went on the Internet and sent a complaint to the postmaster general, but never heard anything from that either. I have called a local TV station and they referred me to the Attorney General's office. They called my yesterday and said that they cannot get any response from this company either, so no help there. Am I out of the money?
