Should you ever need help with your mortgage due to foreclosure threats, do not use or believe this company. I know first hand, I contacted them to help me with my mortgage company and after 3 months of failed attempts they inform 2 weeks before the sale date on my home that they could do nothing. At this point I was well into being 6 months late on my mortgage, was charged lawyers fees, penalty fees and interest I was well over what I could afford to pay.

This company brags about their reputation of helping and their BBB status, even tell you to check with the BBB. I did and at the time their status was okay, now the BBB has dropped them due to the amount of complains against them. Their staff is always at your dispense when you first start working with them, but once you sign the contract and send them 1 month of your mortgage payment they are very hard to track down. They do not return calls, their voicemails even say "we will return your call at our earliest convinience". Finally after the 3 month I was told that I was due a refund since they were not able to help me.

I followed their rules, sent in the letter requesting my refund and still to this date I haven't received a penny. I managed to save my home, I had to agree with my mortgage company on increased payments since I now was into them for and additional $13,000. I contacted the BBB and they sent a letter to US Mortgage Assistant and basically got the run-around. Their refund processing department, who is actually 1 person, Sylvia, is the rudest, unwilling department or person you could meet. They will not give you any information and basically don't care what you tell them.

Avoid this company, don't do business with them. I know that you might feel like there's no hope to save your home, try to talk to the bank yourself, anything but don't use this company.

I too have been victimized by this company. I contacted them in october of 2002 after reading there add in a local newspaper. Sent in a $1500.00 Fee and have been given the run around ever since. It's a shame that predators like this are allowed to do business. People this is a SCAM. Do not send any money to these people or any other so called mortgage assistance programs like this one. At this point it looks as if I will never be able to get a refund. Because they turned off there phones, and I'm unable to reach anyone of these crocks. My advise is that if you are experiencing any problems with paying your mortgage speak with a Real Estate Attorney not these BOZO's

After 5 months of going back and forth and even threating the company with a lawsuit they still haven't refunded me my money back. Now they just hang up the phone when I call or just tell me they don't care what I say to them. They are still advertising in the local paper and I really would like my money back. Help!!!

Hello Maria--

Please look up the non-profit www.naca.com on the internet. There is a toll-free # on the site.

This is a non-profit agency that does it's own mortgages and sometimes they refinance predatory mortgages with their own mortgages. They focus on low and mid income homeowners or those who want to be homeowners. I don't know if that is still an option for you, but please contact them as soon as possible. They are on your side, they actually got a lot of their funding from a predatory lawsuit against Fleet Bank a few years ago.

They are a community advocacy and neighborhood stabilization organization. I don't know if they can help you with your issue with the company supposedly helping you with your mortgage, but your priority right now is saving your house--deal with that sleazy company when you have a chance to catch your breath!

Good luck with it! I hope this information is helpful to you.
