US Movers Flat rate moving and storage The tried to rip us off and crushed the piano San Jose, California
These people are real slime balls. After they picked up the piano they called and said they were charging $500 extra for packing materials. We refused to pay extra. Even after a lot of pressure and these guys are good at it we just said NO and that we would see them in court. They agreed to bring the piano out without the extra charges.
They wanted cash but we wanted a paper trail so we got a cashiers check from the bank. Gave them the check when they showed up. Their $500 worth f packing material was a shipping blanket, plastic, and tape.
After bringing the piano in the house and unpacking it we saw it had been crushed. Looks like it fell over on the front. The keyboard cover and keys were smashed in. The piano was ruined.
And - they still wanted paid. We refused to sign the delivery papers and demanded the check back. The refused at first. We called 911 and they gave back the check, scrambled out the door, and drove off.
The used the name "Flat Rate Moving and Storage". Researh shows they use a variety of names. The guy we dealt with is Mark Sokol.
