US Online ripoff - charging $60 termination fee for bad cable reception ripoff Wanatchee Washington
I contracted for cable. I was surprised to learn that some of the main stations were not carried (like Fox News). Others, like TLC had different programming (no Trading Spaces, etc.).
There was a big problem with reception on WB and on MSNBC. MSNBC was not watchable due to static, and reception on WB was quite bad. MSNBC became important due to the pronounced lack of cable news shows.
I called to explain why I wanted to terminate, and I waited about 17 minutes to get through and could not. So I did it by writing.
I have no problem paying for the service and I did so. I am also paying the termination fee to avoid any credit report problems. However, they did not provide good service. I should not have to offer them opportunities to correct the problem. I want my $60 back.
If you live in Wilsonville and do not have a choice of cable, use of the satellite networks.
