Complaint Review: US Search.com

US Search is a company that claims to be able to find the people you are looking for.

One of the searches they offer is a criminal record search. Do not trust this search, I can only think of people who would like to look into the the past of one they are smitten with, do not use this search.

I paid for a search on someone I knew had been arrested and in what state, but was not sure of the exact county. I gave every bit of information required by the US Search, e.g. last, first, and middle name and age, even the state (not required be the site), each box was filled with information that the site needed. Two minutes after selecting the search button, I recieved an e-mail that informed me that there was no criminal record of the person I was looking for in that state.

I imediately went to the nearest county and paid for a search of that site for the same records and with in 5 mintes I had all three arrest records of this person. This was no more than five minutes after I recieved the e-mail from US Search and one sixth the price.

To top this off I sent a complaint e-mail to US Search and they sent a template answer to my complaint, indicating that they are only able to provide the information they recieve from a third party seach engine, yes they do not even conduct the search themselves.!!!!
