Recently 2 charges from US Search appeared on my chekcing account. I did not make the purchases, so it is identity theft. US Search did call to find out if I made the purchases and did reimburse me, however the charges overdrew my checking account and I received two charges from my bank for this. The bank (M&T) was not very helpful, which is surprising because they have always been helpful in the past. M&T rep told me they need a letter from US search saying the charges from US Search were fraudulent. I called US Search at 888-999-4384 (Credit & Billing Info.) and talked to Claudia who was rude and refused to send a letter to my bank which is simply very bad business practice and REEKS of fraud! I finally asked to speak with someone above Claudia and she insisted "there is no one else. I'm the only one!" which is a load of b.s.! I am contacting the IFC or Attourney General and I WILL get a letter from them to my bank.

I'm not so sure I am going to stay with M&T as they did not seem to stand up for me as a customer and protect me in a fraud matter, but rather resist and be unhelpful.

DO NOT in any way get involved with U.S. Search, and DO NOT expect them to cooperate with other financial institutions!!
