US SearchRipoff gives your info to scam company, fradulent credit charges Culver City, California
A month ago I used US Search, a background check service. Then on my next credit card billing cycle I noticed extra charges. Somehow a company called AP9 Passporttofun+ and AP9 Shoppingessentials+ got my credit card information and charged me $14.95 each.
I called AP9 and they told me that I had been signed up for their discount service when I used US Search. They said I "agreed" to a free 30 day trial, but I don't believe I agreed to any such thing, especially as I never received an access code to use the service or any such thing.
After the 30 day trial, AP9 would bill me as per the "agreement" that I don't recall making. Anyway, after I called they agreed to cancel my service and reverse the charges. I hope that happens. And I hope others will think twice about using US Search.
