I received a bogus job offer as a "forwarding courier" for a fake company called US Shop Online. What they would do is have people in a different country (usually Russia) use a stolen credit card to make purchases and have the item sent to your address but with either a fake name or the "managers" name. The "manager" was actually the name on the stolen credit card to insure authenticity of the purchase. The company said they would pay $1500/month and $40/package shipped.

So after receiving the packages, I would upload the information and print a shipping label that they provided. The shipping labels were also fraudulent in that they were paid for once and altered as many times as the person could get away with. So after you get the labels you ship the item and upload the shipping receipt and thats basically proof to get paid.

After shipping maybe four packages I got a call from a woman who works as a postal inspector and filled me in on the whole thing. She told me about the fraudulent labels, the stolen credit cards being used, everything. She informed me not to send any more packages and when I told the company that I would no longer be doing business with them they tried to defend everything and make it sound like a mistake but I didn't fall for it. So i ended up sending all the packages to the postal inspector so she can return them to the sender and hopefully the poor people who had their credit cards misused can get the money refunded.

If you are ever offered any position similar to this, it is almost certainly a scam so don't fall for it.
