Police scam call. Wow I am glad I checked before mailing this back. I only did so because after hanging up my hubby was like "hey, wait didnt we just recently mmake a contribution to the police?" We had, a few months ago. UGH now realizing that probable was a scam too.
I waited for the donation form to arrive and checked on it via google. It has the same name and emblem as what various news reporters have shown as a scam in other states. I am mailing back the pledge card with a note letting them know they should be ashamed and that I have reported them.
I will never donate to another fund without physically going to the place I wish to donate. This world has become so dishonest. It's sad.
