I have been having financial trouble for about 2 years. I had applied for disability and when I had to quit work our income was cut by 2/3. I was so ashamed at all of the people I owed fines, hot checks chrgs, hospital bills, dr bills etc. I had gotten where I did not even check my bank statment. I had the attitude "if somebody is taking it out of my account Im sure I owe it.

This year we were able to start out pretty even. I had my bank balanced to the penny and I was well informed of the bills that were due from me or being paid by eft. I went overdraft today because of a eft from "USA Benefits". I started researching and they have been drawing $19.95 out of my account for months, usually causing an overdraft fee and in most instances legitimate checks were returned NSF and USA Benefits eft was paid.

I called the 800 number and was put on eternal hold. My bank finally tried to call them and they were put on hold. I decided to check the internet and try to figure out who they were. I am appalled at the number of people being cheated.

Is there anyway to effect this scam. In my case, as I went over the past 12 months, the $19.95 was paid every time it was attempted. I had 7 $30 NSF fees and as best as I can tell from a quick glance I had dozens of other checks returned or additional charges for NSF because of that eft. They withdraw on the 4th or 5th before anybody else gets paid. They seem to know when I get paid and they take full advantage.

We have worked so hard to straighten our our financial situation. Our life has been turned upside down with illness, pain and sorrow for personal reason and we have gone without basics just so we can afford to get medication.

This is just Cruel. The ripple effect has been horrible. I cannot image the total they have cost me no including the emotional stress and upset.

How can someone do this. Why can't they be stopped?
