This man took my mustang and 600 cash for a downpayment on a 2003 saturn ion . I also had paid $1500 in payments. To be told I still owed over $4000. And I was not buying the car I was only leasing it.WHAT??? And usa didnt have my mustang on my payment record. When do you put a car as a down payment for a rental?? MY records and reciets say Only 2500 is all that is owed. But usa is trying there hardest to repo the car. And on top pf it all my paper from usa says rental agreement agreement.I am young and have been taken advantage of.

It doesn't matter that you have proof of payment unless the lender/lessor is claiming you didn't pay

From your post, it looks like you chose to sign a lease rather than purchase the vehicle. You even admit that all of your paperwork shows that it is a rental agreement and not a purchase. It is a shame that you were 18 years old, an adult, and yet you didn't read the contract. A lease is a contract too. Let this be a lesson, never sign anything without reading and understanding the contract yourself. Never trust an auto salesperson or anyone in the auto finance office at the dealership to give you the right info. The only people that get hurt are those that don't read the contract before they sign it.

The one good thing about this is that you are only stuck in this awful deal for the term of the lease. Make your payments on time and find out the terms of turning in your vehicle (it will be in your contract). Be prepared to come up with additional funds for excess milage and for damage to the vehicle when you turn it into the dealership. Most dealerships also end up charging a bunch of fees when you turn in the vehicle. Follow through on this so you don't end up with a repo (yes, a repo can happen on a lease too). Use this as a lesson in all of your future business deals.

I am sorry to say I trusted them when they read and explained everything, I was excited and I am to trusting. though usa s contract is not the same as mine. I luckily have proof of all my payments and for my car i put down with my $600
