I spent thousands for 6 new Alside windows, which were installed by Light of the world, subcontracted by USA Custom Windows. Windows are so drafty and poorly made that I had to stuff rags around them, tape on with duct tape, and plastic them over. Received many promises but no follow through from either Jamie Sardo or the installer. Have turned into the BBB and Syracuse AG and they have even been ignoring them.

First of all, referring to my home as a 'trailer' makes it seem as though I live in a ramshackle single wide. Instead, I live in a doublewide I bought brand new, keep updated and repaired, looks like a stick built ranch house, and is ona permanent foundation. Even if I did live in a dilipidated trailer, this company came here and visited before they did the work and if had no issue with my home. Blaming the structure, an inanimate object, is ridiculous but then again USA WIndows also blamed the installer (who was subcontracted by USA and came down for the estimate and look-over as well), the window manufacturer and myself, taking  no responsibility. I do have e-mails from Jamie Sardo I would have no problem posting in which he admits otherwise.

I never refused to pay any more money to fix my windows--but yes, I would have as I paid the stated price and the windows were not right. Why should I have to pay more??? I was never even asked for extra money to begin with.

I contracted with USA Custom for this job. THEY chose the installer (by the way, if he came down 5 times I'd like to know where I was) and they are the ones who contracted Syron. I trusted them on their chocies and never even had any say in their decisions; I just trusted them to do their jobs. Yes, Syron did send their tech out and they blamed the installer--Custom USA blamed Syron and the installer. It was a 'not my fault" scenario and now it looks like it's also the fault of my home and me as well.

Well as a company that has been around for over 40 years and to one issue that has been tried to be resolved is a problem to be accused of ignoring claims, this is truly false. In this situation, we used a new manfactuer on select jobs for a trial period. that manafuacter was Syron Industires, whicc ended up going out of business shortly after this install. We are committed to Alside windows as we have been for over many years. This was a window defect, this window was being installed in a trailer. Our installerrs did make over 5 trips back to resolve the problem and notonly for Syron(which sent their tech out there before they folded. Now in this case, the window is warrtnied by Syron) in a trailer, the walls and the old frames were put together poorly by the trailer maker. Asa company we did try to resolve the problem and fix it, the charge for this job at the time was a special of $350 a window, which is very low for a trailer job, the manafacuter could not do anyting as they went out of business,  the problem could have been rectified for a charge of $75 mnore per window for the installers to buy more matierlas and to reframe from scratch. She did refuse to pay and after the fact did not want us to bother her anymore. Kepp in mind that it is said at the time of purchase on a trailer only threre may be problems encountred during installation, we are a fair low price company and when we run into a problem with trailers, the installer out of that $75 per window $55 is in materials and the other $20 is labor. As we responded to the Syracuse AG it was stated that we did everything correctly and should not have tried to do Syron's make-up and that she was refered to file one of many complaints with Syron. With over 10,000 happy customers throughout NYS, all we do iis offer a $900 window job for about 3/4 of the price. You can not please everyone, but we did go above and beyond for this issue. We re a great family company with the customers to prove this. Thank you
