A few years ago I agreed to sign up with USA Magazine Exchange for the six magazines. Until six months ago I was satisfied with the service I had received. On October 6, 2003 I called and spoke with Heather to make a few changes to my subscriptions. The new ones I requested I have yet to receive. I also had notified Heather that I hadn't received two of my subscriptions and she stated that one of the magazine companies hadn't received the renewal information from the USA Magazine Exchange, so she would extend that subscription for another six months. The other she said probably got lost in the mail. Regarding the updates I made, she said it could take up to 90 days for the new magazines to arrive and that I may receive the cancelled ones for 1-2 more cycles.

On 10/10/03 I received several phone call attempts from CRC/A Magazine Cafe in Georgia (tel: 770-514-6697). Sabrina told me that she was calling from my magazine subscription company and that some of my subscriptions were about to run out, but she could renew for me for an additional charge. I told her that the name of my magazine company was USA Magazine Exchange and that they were out of Arizona, not Georgia, then ended the call. IMMEDIATELY I called the USA Magazine Exchange and spoke with Kay and asked her what she knew about this company and expressed my concern that there was a leak in their system because Sabrina knew exactly which magazines I was getting. Kay said she was unaware of this CRC/A Magazine Cafe and that she would pass along my concern to her manager. Kay told me that USA Magazine Exchange was no longer soliciting new subscriptions and they were only maintaining the customers they currently had.

I called last night to follow up on my revised subscriptions and noticed that the voice mail message had changed, particularly the time zone for hours of operation (previously7am-5:30pm PST). I left a message for someone to call me back today to discuss my subscription updates. After I left that message I realized that the magazines I had cancelled I was still getting, six months later! That is why I began my research today on USA Magazine Exchange. I was none too surprised to see so many postings on www.ripoffreport.com.

From all the other reports, I see that I can count myself lucky to have received magazines for as long as I have.

All I want at this point is a refund for October 2003 to February 2006 (which is when my paid subscription period is SUPPOSED to end) OR to receive my magazines.

Please let me know if anyone has had success with either of those.

Thanks!
