USA Magazine Exchange ripoff, will not cancel subscription Phoenix Arizona
I received a call from the USA Magazine Exchange 2 1\2 years ago. They promised to send a gold watch and they told me that they could charge me $29 a month for 2 years instead of $58 for 1 year. They said they would have someone to call and confirm later in the day, so I agreed thinking that if I needed to cancel I could when they called to confirm the order.
Later in the day they called to confirm and I told the lady that I had talked to my husband about it and he didn't like the idea because we would be moving to a new house soon and we didn't know about our payments. The lady was very rude and said that I couldn't cancel because they were already ordered. I had just had a baby and was very upset with how rude she was, and told her that I was not told I could not cancel but she would not cancel it.
I was so upset that I couldn't cancel an order that I had just made hours before, that I cancelled my credit card. Months later I began getting letters in the mail, and I had still not received my free watch. I called them again and told them that I had already requested to have the order cancelled but they still refused to cancel it.
It has now been several months since I heard from them so I do not know what is going on. I have wrote to several of the magazines to cancel my so called subscription, but haven't heard anything else.
